M&M

The M&M Club stands for The Music & Ministry Club.  The M&M Club aims, through the avenue of music, to instill in children desire to praise God, serve Him, and draw others to Him.
The children are taught to worship God through praise songs, hymns, Scripture, choreography, sign language, and more recently hula.  The M&M Club has 4-5 presentations during the school year where the children help to lead all three CCAC congregations in their Sunday worship.  There are also Christmas and Easter outreach events at local nursing homes.  These events are wonderful for training children to have a heart of love and compassion for others.
During summer months, M&M Club has a music camp coordinating with Vacation Bible School.  Children hear great Bible stories, play exciting games, and learn songs with choreography.  This fun-filled camp experience culminates in performances and the sharing of the Gospel to all who come.

Meeting Time:  6:30 P.M. to 7:15 P.M. – Friday nights during the school year

ADULT

sojourners
college

As CCAC's college ministry, our highest goal is to glorify God by striving to present every member mature in Christ (Col 1:28). We achieve this primarily by teaching the students from the Word of God (2 Tim 3:16) and integrating them into the church family so that they might be discipled by more mature Christians in the church (Tit 2:2-6).
We encourage our students to get involved in the life of the church through serving and building relationships, even during this transitional life stage, so that they might learn now what it means to be a member of a local church. We do this in the hope that our students might be faithful wherever God would call them to be in the future, both in their individual relationships with God and as members of local churches.

Meeting Time: 10:45 AM to 12:15 PM every Sunday.

HORIZON
YOUNG ADULT

Horizon is a unique fellowship of CCAC that reaches out to the post-college Christian millennials during this transitional period of life. The ministry provides a friendly environment where seekers and believers can ask and discuss questions about God and faith, where lives can be examined with eternal perspective, and where a personal relationship with Christ and Christ-centered relationships with others can be built and nurtured.

Horizon meets Thursday at 7:30 P.M. A typical meeting usually begins with musical worship and prayer, followed by Bible study, Christian book study, or sermon series. We have also started offering various workshops on theology, evangelism, and apologetics to help our members be equipped in and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). The meeting ends with small group, where reflection, prayers, and life are shared.

Meeting Time: Thursdays 7:30 PM

GROWTH GROUPS
all ages

Growth Groups are a key engine for spiritual growth at CCAC. Our Growth Groups provide opportunities to meet new people, become acquainted with the church's ministry values, be exposed to a variety of Christian topics, and be equipped for a God-glorifying life. Our groups discuss matters pertaining to Sunday sermons, or focus on topics such as parenting, marriage enrichment, financial stewardship, and Christian basics for new believers. They meet weekly or biweekly to share, study God's Word, fellowship and to support one another spiritually. At any given time, approximately 85% of our weekend adult attendees are actively involved in Growth Groups.

men's minstry

During this COVID season, we will restart our virtual weekly fellowship time on Monday, September 7 @ 7:30pm. But, we also hope to soon pick back up with Saturday morning breakfasts, sports outings, service projects and retreats. Our goal is that this programming will encourage and challenge the men of CCAC and our community to GROW, SERVE AND INVITE.

Beginning Monday, September 7th, we will meet weekly from 7:30-9:00 PM. This fall, we will begin by discussing how we can grow deeper relationships with God and one another. Our time together will include fellowship, short video clips from Dr. Dallas Willard, discussions, sharing/accountability and prayer. The material from Willard that we’ll be using is based on one of his books, entitled “Hearing God: Developing a Conversational Relationship with God.

OTHER MINISTRIES

MISSIONS

Missions at CCAC places a priority on supporting church planting and Bible translating efforts among those people/language groups who are unreached.  This term “unreached” refers to ethnolinguistically distinct groups of people that lack a reproducible Christian church, the Bible in their mother tongue and in which Gospel evangelism is not possible because of such low numbers of true Christ followers.

Going to these unreached groups is our missions priority because, even though Christ commands us in Matthew 28:19 “make disciples of all nations”, this work remains incomplete and this is a marginalized effort in the world of missions, receiving less than  3% of global missions resources.

The English missions committee meets monthly to pray for our long-term workers and discuss budgeting, mobilizing and education efforts.

Please contact missions committee chair and elder, Jonathan Kelber (jakelber@gmail.com) if you have questions or are interested in finding out what God’s role may be for you in the Great Commission.
